HONOUR BASED ABUSE AWARENESS AND RESPONSE

Target Audience

This course is aimed at the workforce within Police Scotland, Health, Social Services, Education, and the Third Sector, as well as anyone interested in developing their understanding of these cultural practices, improving their knowledge of safeguarding and legal responsibilities in their specific area of work.

Aim

This training has been designed to provide an insight into the causes, types, and signs of Honour Based Abuse (HBA). It explores coercive control, forced marriage and Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and includes guidance and protocols for responding to the risk or signs of these practice taking place.
