INTER-AGENCY RISK ASSESSMENT: REFRESH

Target Audience

This course is a refresher update course – aimed at experienced staff part of the Intensive Contact workforce, particularly practitioners working closely with children and families who regularly participate in the assessment of risk and contribute to the child planning process.  This course is for those who have already completed the 2-day Inter-Agency Risk Assessment training at least 3 years previously.

Aim

To refresh and update on current policy, practice and child planning skills.

Content

Using an interactive approach, the session will provide an update on current policy and explore themes such as engaging with clients that services find hard to reach, professional curiosity and improving analysis in assessments. The afternoon session will focus primarily on child planning skills.
