Target Audience
Head Teachers, Deputes and designated members of staff for Child Protection in Secondary, Primary or Special Schools who have not previously completed Level 4.
Aims and Outcomes:
- Understand current legislation and procedures relating to Child Protection.
- Skills to screen information, apply thresholds and take appropriate action.
- Understand the procedures relating to an allegation against a member of staff.
- Strategies to ensure the online safety of pupils.
Content:
- Consideration of current context for Child Protection.
- Input on role and responsibility.
- Exploration of case studies to consider responses to various child protection issues.
- Input on the Policy relating to allegations against staff.
- Input/discussion about digital safety issues.

This course is for staff who have not previously completed the level 4 training.
No attendance charge.
The course should be attended every 3 years.
