Aims:

• To raise awareness of the different forms that domestic abuse can take and to support professionals to develop a trauma informed response to disclosures of domestic abuse.

Content:

This session involves storytelling and audience participation. It tells the story of Myra who finds herself trapped in a relationship that becomes increasingly abusive over time. It explains the links between domestic abuse and the risks of domestic homicide and how professionals can enquire about, and respond to, domestic abuse.
